Since the early civilisations, flowers have been collected and pressed for a whole variety of reasons. From the sentimental savouring of a precious memory to the scientific documentation within botanical scrap books. What ever the reason flower pressing is a wonderful past time to be enjoyed by all.

This workshop will show you how to select and prepare seasonal blooms, some of which we will press together in individual flower presses. These presses will be yours to take home at the end of the workshop. In a couple of weeks you'll have a selection of flowers to work. In the meantime pre pressed flowers to will be supplied during the workshop in order to create a mini artwork. You will be guided through the technique for mounting and framing your pressed flowers to create such artworks.
The workshop includes all the tools and materials you need. All you need is to bring yourself and to have fun! Come alone or with a friend, all experiences welcome.
